Every once in a while, we get suggestions for plug-ins which would assist in using our current plug-in packages or for general purpose plug-ins which would be useful tools to use with ColorWorks. We also sometimes develope plug-ins based on our internal needs. When we develope such plug-ins, we place them on this page for general use. If you think of any other similar plug-ins which would be useful to ColorWorks users, please let us know and we may be able to add them here. To save these, use the right-mouse button and save in the ColorWorks V2 PLUGIN directory.

MDFCXBEV.DLL - Button Bevel; Create beveled rectangular buttons for WWW use.

MDFCXFLO.DLL - Float (Modify); Modify a float based on image color or color range. You can use this for easier Transparent GIF animation creation.

Usage:
To use this plug-in, select and float the whole image and start the plug-in. Enter a set or RGB values (leave right side blank) or a range and press Apply. For the matching pixels, 'Replace' will replace them and clear the rest, 'Add' will add those to the current float, 'Subtract' will remove them, 'Intersection' will only keep the ones that were already floated, and 'Inverse' will toggle.

To use with the MD+F GIF Animator plug-ins, enter your transparent color, select Inverse, and press Apply. Now, your GIF frame will be floated and ready to be added. This should make transparent images much easier to make since no transparent palettes or hand painting of the float mask is necessary.

Please remember that you will never see the change once you have used this plug-in until you move the float since it overlays an identical image.

NOTE: We had to play some tricks while coding this plug-in; fully try it out before using it, specially after ColorWorks upgrades or patches. It is not possible for this plug-in to detect if the image has not been floated; you may get undesirable effects if you use it as such. This has been the most requested plug-in.

MDFCXOFS.DLL - Offset; Remap the image by offseting and wrapping it around.
