The standard Image Chooser is a tool designed to display a large number of images and give you the option of accepting them or rejecting them.  The accepted images are added to the database and an icon is created from the already loaded image for each one and stored.  The rejected images are send to the Confirm Delete dialog.

Using the Standard Chooser

To use a Directory Browser select the File>Add File... menu item and select files using the dialog.  You can select files from more than one directory if you wish.  Once you have done that, exit the dialog and the files will start loaded and displaying in the Image Chooser window.

You should repeat this procedure for each file:

Press the Red (reject) button if you do not like the image shown and want it deleted or press the Green (accept) button if you want to keep the image and have it added to the database.

If you wish to view more or less files at one time, resize the window until it displays the desired number of images.  This window multitasks; feel free to rapidly go from one image area to the next as they are being loaded into.

NOTE:  You should not use Browsers to examine new batch of images to decide which ones you want to keep and which ones you want to delete.  Instead you should use the Slideshow with a Tiny chooser or this tool.
