Modular Dreams Incorporated, a leading developer of graphics and
multimedia software, today announces the release of MD+F SX/2 Image
Editor demonstration copy for IBM OS/2 Warp.
Modular
Dreams' MD+F SX sets a new standard for the graphics artist using
the IBM OS/2 operating system. It combines features normally found
in a traditional paint program with those found in image/video processing
tools, cataloging tools and pattern generators in a single, easy
to use applications. What can MD+F SX do?
Painting
- MD+F SX provides a variety of tools, ranging from the basic solid
color paint to painting using patterns or special pens. All painting
operations are performed through a mask, an optional alpha, and
at any transparency level. MD+F SX's painting tools and its support
for indexed, true-color, and precise true-color canvases (16 bits
per color channel) are surpassed by no other paint program.
Image
Processing - A large cache of image processing operations, from
the most basic filters to many unique special effect, distortion,
and warping tools are provided. Combined with MD+F SX's layering
and image-linking abilities, creating and working with complex images
has never been any easier.
Image
Cataloging - MD+F SX's database not only stores thumbnails of a
directory's contents like most other imaging programs, but allows
assignment of attributes to images, creation of virtual directories,
maintenance of removable storage media and provides other features
which make maintaining and searching collection of images a snap.
MD+F
SX is simply the most capable painting and image processing tool
available for IBM OS/2 Warp. "MD+F SX is built using the most cutting-edge
technologies we could find", says Ali Fracyon, president of Modular
Dreams Incorporated. "We built MD+F SX by combining one of the most
powerful application development tools available, IBM's VisualAge
family, and the well matured image processing, importing, and exporting
modules the company previously created and heavily optimized." This
combination not only gives power, reliability, and speed to the
current MD+F SX, but it also guarantees its future position as the
leading graphics package available on OS/2 Warp.
You
can get current information about the MD+F SX Image Editor from
Modular Dreams at their website. You can also download a "proof
of technology" version of the MD+F SX Image Editor at the website.
This version of the MD+F SX Image Editor software is a fully working
copy, but certain operations like saving files are disabled. The
MD+F website is located at: http://www.modulardreams.com.
