Details:
- Enhancements:
Speed improvements for loading of JPEG files, displaying images.

feature: It is now possible to view images in full size. If you wish
to view an image full size when shown in the preview window, you can
use the right mouse button to access a pop-up menu which allows this.
- Added
feature: Images now display alpha channel if available. Transparency
is white in small displays and striped in full size.
- Blitter
now releases memory to system much more often.
- Added
feature: There are now five additional interest options to reduce download
or collection of low quality images or distruptive flooding of newsgroups.
- Added
feature: You can now run the last interest you used by simply pressing
the Run button at start time.
- Added
feature: You can now run an interest from command line. Use:
BLITTER interest-name
and Blitter will run, select the interest, Run it, and exit.
- You
can now specify additional directory paths after newsgroup names. For
example:
alt.binaries.pictures.supermodels.elle (super)
The 'space' '(' subdirectory ')' is optional and if you use it, the
directory will be added to primary or secondary path and used. (Hint:
you can create it in primary alone if you wish. If the subdirectory
doesn't exist, it will be ignored. So you need not worry about keeping
an updated set of directories in the less used secondary)
- Code
change: Additional safety code added to correct reported download problems.
If you run into problems with Blitter, re-run and watch which message
# and group is a problem. Check message in a newsreader and send full
header (Ctrl-H in tin) to MDF@BIX.COM. We can not use message # since
it is unique to your newsserver but can track down problem posts from
header.
- Demo
download increased to 50 images.
How to
install:
- Download
and unzip blitiud11.zip.
- Run
Blitter and verify it looks different.
